Over the years at ID3, there have been a handful of customers who have stood out for one reason or another. Saleen was definitely one of them.

Our relationship began in 2005 when the redesigned Ford Mustang was introduced and Saleen came to ID3 for their badging and trim. Unlike many customers, Saleen was open to my design ideas, giving me the opportunity to create a number of different badges for the Saleen Mustang over several years. That level of trust was rare and made the projects especially rewarding.

One of the highlights came when Saleen was building the Ford GT at their Detroit facility. They invited me to tour the plant and watch the cars being assembled. It was the first—and only—time I’ve ever had the chance to see a hand-built automobile come together. Watching the craftsmanship that went into each Ford GT gave me an even greater appreciation for the people behind these remarkable cars, and it remains one of the most memorable experiences of my career.
