Krank Amplification is one of those customers who stood out for reasons beyond the size of their orders. Their logo — clean, bold, and perfectly balanced — is a designer’s dream, and one of my personal favorites from our time at ID3. Krank built amps for heavy metal guitarists, and I’ve heard from friends who played through them that the sound was unmistakable: crank the volume, and nothing else quite matched that distinctive crunch.

Working with Krank was always a pleasure. Calls and emails were friendly and straightforward, and they treated business like a craft. Although Krank Amplification is no longer operating, their logo remains a standout example of great design — a reminder that when a designer gets it right, the result speaks for itself.
