Over the years at ID3, there have been customers who stood out for reasons that had little to do with the size of their orders. 65 Amps was one of those special customers.

Our relationship with 65 Amps began through the internet, but because of my lifelong love of music and my history with guitar amplifiers, I quickly became a fan of what they were building. Dan Boul was the driving force behind the company, while Peter Stroud helped shape the original designs. Peter is best known as Sheryl Crow’s longtime lead guitarist, making the connection even more exciting for me.

One of the highlights came when Peter arranged tickets for me to attend a Sheryl Crow concert. Seeing the 65 Amps logo that ID3 had produced displayed on stage was a thrill and made me proud to have played a small part in the company’s story.

The connection didn’t end there. Several friends in Nashville called me after learning that I was working with 65 Amps, telling me how much they loved playing through the amps and praising their incredible tone. It was gratifying to hear such unsolicited endorsements from musicians I respected.

Was 65 Amps one of our biggest customers? No. Was it one of the most enjoyable and memorable? Absolutely.
